G’day! My name is Mitchell Metcalfe, I am a Sydney based photographer and traveler. I prefer the art of landscapes, and all its variations; from the coast to the cities, all the way to out bush.

I started my traveling adventures in 2013, and have visited 44 countries – many of those in Europe. Traveling initially sparked my love for photography, and spawned an eagerness to learn.

Outside of full-time work, I embark to find new and interesting places in and outside of Sydney. I am particularly interested in the art of long-exposure, implementing it in photographs with water and clouds where I can. I find the dramatic intensity of a calming moment pleasing to shoot, and find myself often meditating on those moments. The art of photography is exciting for me in all its stages from beginning that includes carefully selecting a composition, then selecting the right settings and equipment, then the post-production process, and finally exporting an image that I admire and am proud of.
